Cellblocktango

Hey you!

Yeah, finally I got it...

My class makes a musical as a huge project (we do all: arranging music, making the scenes, costumes, the dancing...all)
We do that because we are the "aesthetic"-class (with music, acting etc...)

We will make "Chicago". I don't like it... First point: I don't like doing stuff like lying on the piano, a boy or on a chair and doing that stupid stuff... And the music and the story isn't that nice, too... Even the film isn't that nice... *sigh*

But there is one song I like. it's called the "Cell block tango". Yeah, it's kinda cool. Today we sang it in music and we were talking about how to arrange that song (because a part of us will be in the band...)

I hope that our cellblock tango will be as nice as the scene in the movie "Chicago"...

Anyway... all of my class started singing that songs of Chicago, even at breakes and that get on my nerves... And I have to stay this pain for one more year... I hope, someday it will be boring for them, but I think that isn't realistic... My class is a little bit freaky hahaha... But the tango is cool (I hope they will sing it better in future. It sounds soo BAD at the moment *arg*)

Here is the scene of the movie... Cool, ne~

Rock and Worship Roadshow

For $10 each, K and I and her 2 friends went to see the Roadshow at the Coliseum. It was awesome. The pre-concert line to the ONLY AVAILABLE TOILET IN THE ENTIRE ROSE QUARTER was not. It honestly took about 50 minutes just to get inside the room (a single, by the way). A and I waited for the restroom while K and C waited in the entrance line (they endured rain and wind and cold while we were in an indoor line). Then we joined them and waited for another 30 minutes or so. That wait wasn't bad.

K managed to find us seats in the second non-floor row. We saw Addison Road (sweet) Tenth Avenue North (cute boy band) Hawk Nelson (okay) Jeremy Camp (smooth) and Mercy Me (classic).

During Hawk Nelson's set, I went to another restroom (3 minute wait, thank you so much) got concessions and bought 10th Ave N. merch. Yes, I used the word "merch". Don't roll your eyes at me.

After the concert I waited in line to get autographs from the Tenth Avenue North boys. Jason wasn't there (some ambiguous family excuse was given) but I still have an autographed CD for the first time in my life. Also, Mike told me they sold out of CDs. (Hehe, "Mike told me". It's like he's a friend of mine now. He was the nicest. He asked my name and told me his and shook my hand. Very cool. I've already washed my hands, don't give me that look!)

Bri, I thought of you. I want to be as cool around famous people as you are. I didn't make a *complete* fool of myself, but I have much to learn.

YEY MEMES

Number your 12 favorite characters from any fandom and then answer the questions...

Eyeshield 21 yeahboi!111

1 - Hiruma
2 - Agon
3 - Kurita! lol this should be hilarious
4 - Unsui
5 - Juumonji
6 - Sena
7 - Monta
8 - Kuroki (WHY DOES NO ONE BUT ME NOTICE HOW HOT HE'S GOTTEN???)
9 - Habashira
10 - Yamato
11 - Musashi
12 - Shin

1. Have you ever read a Six/Eleven fic? Do you want to?

YES, YES I HAVE. Two. :) Or more? But I like this pairing. One wasn't really a relationship fic, or even really about them, but they had sex and it was SO hot!

2. Do you think Four is hot? How hot?
FOUR IS MYSTERIOUS SAD EYES HAWT. *loves*

3. What would happen if Twelve got Eight pregnant?
The Brothers would be SO disappointed in him. D: And Ojou would just be shocked.

4. Can you recall any fic(s) about Nine?
Where he PWNd Hiruma, where he gave Hiruma amnesia, a grouping of oneshots, and one where he found Sena after he'd been raped

5. Would Two and Six make a good couple?
I think they do. :)

6. Five/Nine or Five/Ten? Why?
NEITHER MAKES SENSE. Um um. Juumonji/Habashira, maybe, just because the whole delinquent/delinquent nonsense. they'd UNDERSTAND each other

7. What would happen if Seven walked in on Two and Twelve having sex?
"WTF MAX!"

8. Make up a summary for a Three/Ten fic.
HA HA HA. A HA HA HA HA HA. XD

It was the summer that would change their lives; whether for better or for good was unsure, but one could assure it would be the love to last a lifetime. [/crack][insert hysterical laughter]

9. Is there any such thing as One/Eight fluff?
Eh. Sure. It could be one of those, didn't-expect-it-to-work-but-it-is type of cheesy shit.

10. Suggest a title for a Seven/Twelve hurt/comfort fic.
"What Sena Doesn't Know" [more hysterical laughter]

11. What kind of plot would you use if you wanted Four to deflower One?
I HAVE SO MANY! (current fave~) Really, though, it'd be more the other way around, though Unsui'd still be on top... ;)

Anyway, probably some evil plot Agon cooks up to get his brother laid that ends with, instead of Hiruma sodomizing someone with a shotgun out of pure rage and/or foiling their plan, finding himself weirdly attracted to Unsui. Which pisses Agon off, of course, because no one's supposed to actually like Unsui for the long term...

13. Does anyone on your friends list read Three het?

14. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw Eleven?

15. Would anyone on your friends list write Two/Four/Five?

<br />16. What might Ten scream at a moment of great passion?
"SENAAAAAA" (and, depending on who he's with, "...oops.")

17. If you wrote a song-fic about Eight, which song would you choose?
"Least Complicated" by the Indigo Girls. It's about lesbian love XD, but it always makes me think of delinquents, cause of the skipping class and wiping slates clean.

18. If you wrote a One/Six/Twelve fic, what would the warnings be?

WARNING: Foul language, naivety (sp?), and great exasperation may ensue. (Not respectively; well, Hiruma's the mouth, Shin understands nothing, Sena would just be tired...)

19. What might be a good pick-up line for Ten to use on Two?
"Bet you'd love a nice, strong man who can beat your ass."

20. When was the last time you read a fic about Five?
Um. Well, I'm reading a fic he's IN right now, but ABOUT him? Maybe a couple weeks ago...

21. What is Six's super-secret kink?
BONDAGE. Lol, no. Cowgirl position? Outdoor sex? Like, on the football field? Yeah. That's totally it. B)

22. Would Eleven shag Nine? Drunk or sober?
Very, veeeeery drunk; Musashi has some class.

23. If Three and Seven get together, who tops?
Kurita sadly. (Just the image of Monta crushed underneath that big, lovable fatty fills me with lulz)

24. “(1)Hiruma and (7)Monta are in a happy relationship until (9)Habashira suddenly runs off with (4)Unsui. (1)Hiruma, broken-hearted, has a hot one-night stand with (11)Musashi and a brief unhappy affair with (12)Shin then follows the wise advice of (5)Juumonji and finds true love with (3)Kurita.

AAAAAAAAW!!! -^w^- That's be such a *CUTE* KuriHiru fic! Sure, I'd change some stuff, but I really want to write something like that now! D:

25. How would you feel if Seven/Eight was canon?
I WOULD EAT MY HAT. lulz jk. Um, I think I'd like it, actually? Monta deserves to be loved by someone who isn't Mamori or an unattainable superstar ball player who has betrayed him. *nodnod*

Spring Break - Day 10

Day 10! Saturday! Oh sad, only one day left before I have to head back to school. This is sad.

So my parents finally got home around 1:30 last night. They were still stuck on Pacific time (two hours behind), so they were very confused. However I got presents! Yay! I got a really great blue t-shirt from Von Zipper and a cute yellow Billabong tank top. They also brought home random american food items that we don't have up here. Vanilla Coke, snack foods, cereals, etc. Cans of pork & beans even - they had issues getting that through customs, haha! Funny. They had a lot of stories and photos and souveniers they brought home as well.

I spent most of today at work, which was dead but very fun. Worked with good people, like always.

Due to my parents being stuck in another time zone still, we didn't eat supper until 9:00 tonight. Weird, I know. To make matters worse, daylight savings time takes effect tonight so we're going to lose an hour. That'll screw my parents up for sure, haha. Now they'll be off by 3 hours! I told them I'd be surprised if we got breakfast before 2pm tomorrow. We shall see.

DS/DA Brand & Off-Brand Parasols & Earmuffs

Hello all!! A few treats to sell this evening.

Payment~
I only accept Paypal
Buyer must pay any fees
I'm willing to hold for three days unless if buyer makes a non-refundable deposit

Shipping~
I ship USPS
Parasols will be wrapped and then shipped in a cardboard tube
Buyers may add insurance for an extra cost
I can mark down the item as a gift it going out of country
I can combine shipping
If I grossly overcharge for shipping I will refund the buyer!

PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME!! I never really check them and I feel guilty later when I miss an interested party.

PRICES ARE NOT CONCRETE! I will consider REASONABLE offers!
I AM ALSO WILLING TO ACCEPT TRADES/PARTIAL TRADES.
Right now I'm specifically looking for a plain black brand skirt and the Meta leopard print OP in grey.

First up are the Baby earmuffs in BxW modeled by the most colorful thing I could find~

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3587/3336406119_a98b4bd235.jpg?v=0
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3551/3336406203_dd81e12890.jpg?v=0
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3608/3337238680_1ee7e2920e.jpg?v=0
I bought them last winter, and wore them a few times, but never wore them this winter so its time for them to go! I believe they've been discontinued because this year's muffs are the black bunny ears.
I'm asking $50 shipped in the US. Ask if you're international.

Next up are the three parasols. I'm using the obligatory Kamikaze Girls DVD case to show rough size. Sorry about the indoor pictures, it was rainy all day!

To be honest, I'm not quite sure how much it will cost to ship these because of the shape. I'm guessing $10, but if I overcharge by a bunch then I'll refund you the difference. If someone knows the cost of shipping a parasol, please do share!

First is a black off-brand parasol!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3401/3337239742_d129e1533e_m.jpg

I bought this in Harajuku last year and only really used it twice. To be honest, I never really use parasols because they aren't convenient when I wear lolita.
I'm asking $20 OBO!

Next is a Meta white parasol.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3549/3337238940_8f4caa9f1d_m.jpg
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3355/3337238988_e2afa00b4f_m.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3410/3336407437_928477f72e_m.jpg

I got this last year and only used it once. The previous owner used it quite a bit, but it still has a lot of life left in it!! The pictures show all the signs of stains and dirt. The emblem is also slightly discolored on one side. It could probably be cleaned, I just never got around to it.
Asking $20 OBO!

Finally is an action!! I bought this last fall in Korea. Its a purple replica of the Angelic Pretty Melody Doll parasol. Angelic Pretty never sold it in this color so I would guess its rare. I bought it to coordinate but I never really use parasols so off it goes! Its a BEAUTIFUL parasol, really big and well made. It springs open once you press this little latch, I've never seen a parasol this nicely made~

Because its new and different, I figured I would let you all decide the price!
Starting bid is $30 and bidding will end Monday night at 7 Central Standard Time
Please bid in $5 increments, I'll do my best to alert bidders when they've been outbid.

Thanks everyone!!

another boring update

Nothing really terribly exciting going on in my life. The Pit Reporter announcement got moved up to next Friday instead of March 20th. So now I'm walking on eggshells and super nervous for another week. Gah! I really hope I get picked because I need this job.

Also found this hilarious contest online where you can win a chance to be FOB's +1 at the Kid's Choice Awards. haha You get to ride with them to the show and walk down the "orange" carpet with them. How amazing would that be? hahaha I'm entering nonstop until the 16th and hope I get it. I need good news.

Boobear comes a month from tomorrow! :) He bought us Red Sox tickets tonight and I booked us reservations at the Blue Bayou for Disneyland and then we're gonna buy Medieval Tickets tonight and do more plotting :) I'm really excited :)

Work is stressing me out but what else is new.

I bought my ticket for the AP Tour last night. I'm getting into Tucson for free through Fearless.
I guess once I find out about the Pit Report gig I'll buy my ticket for FTSK or not.

I'm really bummed that I won't know about Indianapolis until a week before. And I have no idea about Milwaukee because it hasn't been posted yet so I don't know what to do about that.

Found some people to split my hotel room with me in Jersey so I think I'll be alright.

Went and saw Watchmen today. I really need to go buy the graphic novel so I'll have a better understanding of it.

I found out that Alex has been blogging out me recently so I reached out to her to see what happens. Maybe our friendship can be repaired after all.

The benefit of sixty years

Thebenefitofsixtyyears
Getting older is not necessarily a bad thing.  You can see things from a different perspective than someone who is still young.  More often than not, as an older person it is easier to see how doing or not doing something can have impact far beyond the immediate moment.

When you are young and focused in living in the moment, it is easy to get lost in the moment.  As you age it is easier to step back and think about something before you act.

That does not mean you always make the right decision, but it does mean that more often than not you have made a careful consideration of the implications of your action or inaction.  At least you are going forward with some idea of what might happen. I have found that to be far better than blindly making a decision.

Sometimes a little age helps one see the wisdom of letting nature take it course. Not trying to interfere in a situation which likely is already complicated enough can be a wise decision.

As hard as it has been to learn, I now know that my opinion is not needed on every decision that my grown kids make.  They need to learn to make their own decisions and learning to be an adults often requires that they do so.

I have also learned that trying to be genuinely helpful to people is its own reward.  These days that is something I cling to since so many people expect lots of free information and help, but they rarely even take the time to say thanks.

With that thought goes the idea that if you do not expect much in return that any kind thought that comes back your way is a special treat to be treasured.

By now I am very clear on the concept that I am in charge of my life and that a number of people are dependent on me continuing to be successful.  I persist in believing that with my best efforts I will not let them down.

I have also learned by now that there are people out there who are far more interested in helping themselves than in helping others.  They can be a mere annoyance as in the case of people who persist in having an opinion on everything even when their opinion adds nothing to the discussion or even misses the point of the discussion.

Then there are some people who through their actions try to do harm to others.  You find these people in all walks of life.  Their sense of their own importance and the unimportance of others is one of the great challenges of life.  They can harm you mentally, physically, and financially.  Some of them are in positions of power and can do lots of damage.  There are no easy solutions to staying out of harm's reach if you run into one of these pests of humanity.

Finally I have found that good intentions followed by reasonable actions will get me through most situations.  I try not to think badly of someone, but I also will not be trampled by someone just because they think trampling others is fun.

I have learned that you must stand up for what you believe if you are to sleep soundly at night.  Sometimes that means confronting a challenge head on even if you know you might lose the battle.  Often standing up to prevent a wrong will give others courage.  Many times you win the war even if you lose your battle.

To me there is no worst case scenario when you know that you have done the right thing.

The Gospel of Salvation

I often find myself at odds, at odds with myself and at odds with those around me. I understand and know that the primary function of the Church, the sole reason for its establishment by Christ, is to preach the Gospel for the salvation of souls. This is her divinely ordained purpose, and we as Christians participate in this purpose according to our role in the Church. If I become a priest, which seems more and more likely every day, it will be for the purpose of bringing this Gospel of salvation into the world in a way unique to a priest, by administering the Sacraments and preaching the Gospel.

In today's Church, and not only in the Catholic Church but among the greater Christian body, as well, salvation seems to take a back seat. We seem to believe that everyone will be saved anyway, so what's the point in preaching the Gospel of salvation when we can just go around helping people temporally instead? I am very active in social justice movements of various kinds, and this is where I am too often at odds with people. How dare I, they say, fight HIV/AIDS in Africa while not supporting the distribution of condoms? How dare I not support embryonic stem cell research when it might eventually lead to treatments which can alleviate the temporal suffering of so many millions people? Well, I dare because my first responsibility is always to the Gospel, is always to God. I will always serve the poor, I will always fight against injustice, I will always seek to make this world a better place – but not at the expense of offending God. To give in to this moral relativism that is dogmatic today, to give in to the utilitarian view of our humanity which regards the destruction of human life as acceptable so long as it alleviates suffering, would be to forsake Christ completely, and if the Church ever gave in to these temptations she would no longer be a Church which belongs to Christ.

I would be lying if I said I am never tempted by the arguments made by those who care not about salvation but rather about alleviation of temporal suffering first. Those doubts are to be expected because the Father of Lies is still prince of this world. Satan wants the Church, wants Christians, to stop caring about the salvation of souls. Sometimes he wins temporary victories over me and I stop caring about it, too. But I pray that God makes me strong, fills me with courage, so that the Gospel of salvation may always be in my heart and on my lips. It is the only way I know. It is the only way I want to know. It is the only way to say yes to God.

For further reading, check out John Paul II's Apostolic Letter Salvifici Dolores, one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever read on the Christian value of suffering.

Date Night!

pup and I went out last night, he felt like treating me to a nice time out. Yummy Delish food at Flat top Grill (Which was lunch, too! Mmmmm)And saw "The Watchmen" which is lower down here.

Today I suffered something I'd only heard of in females but never experienced...

The sudden Meltdown moodswing.

It was over bread, literally. I broke because pup ate more than the amount of bread I had budgeted for the meal. Sobbing and everything. I'm completely baffled and even now sit here wondering, "Serious, WFT was that anyway?!"

I blame the fact It's been two weeks without intimate contact with my husband... I'm kind of needy.

I know this should go up top, but I didn't want to spoiler anyway.

This is the only movie I've ever seen that was both moderately awesome, and yet I was so very, very bored the whole time. Up until the end, it was almost a panel for panel following of the comic, though I was hopng they'd keep squidzilla.
In the end, it was just another Moore novel, which are preachy as all get out. It was adapted rather well, but had a lot of the same pitfalls as the comic, and was overly slow in quite a few parts.

My inner furry says it also needed more Burbastis.

pup liked it somewhat well, I'm fence sitting. It had a lot of redeeming qualities, but was also so very, very dull and dry in spots, and the cinematography and CGI alternated between medochre and utterly aweful. The fact it was by the guy who did 300 definitely showed, as it just seemed gratuitous in many ways, but lacked the right atmosphere to back it up without feeling like a teeny slasher film in a few spots.

I think much like the Odyssey, it's one of those great and epic things you only read/see once. Though we will definitely rent it again... with the MST3K riff track. I was biting my tongue the whole way to hold back myself.

Yuna Ito's- Trust you.

Flowers sway in the wind as if dancing
So that the rain moistens the earth
Even though this world is alive, coming closer together
Why do people hurt each other?
Why do partings come about?

Even if you go far away
You're still always right in the middle of my heart
While they remain completely buried by that kind smile
Even if I feel pain
In fragments of you that I held, because we're still connected
I believe that we can meet again
I'm waiting for your love

I love you, I trust you
I want you to share your loneliness with me
I love you, I trust you
Even in light, even in darkness
Because we're together, we're able to believe in each other
Please don't leave anymore

Who saw the end of the world?
Who announces the end of the journey?
Even though it's a long night and the answer can't be seen now,
I want you to move on on the road you believe in
Because from this point forth, the light is waiting for you

Even now, the song you taught me
Still remains within my heart
And echos along with that friendly voice
The overflowing tears of my feeling
Run over my warm cheek
Become strong, ne
Believe!
If we connect with each other
I'm always by your side

I love you
I trust you
The tears I shed are for your sake
I love you
I trust you
You taught me love
I love you
I trust you
No matter if you walk on the wrong path,
I'll be beside you!

I love you
I trust you
I want you to share your loneliness with me
I love you
I trust you
Even in light, even in darkness
I love you
I trust you
Even in sadness, even in happiness
I love you
I trust you
I want to protect you completely

No matter if you're walking on the wrong path
I'll be beside you!
Because we're together, we're able to believe in each other
Please don't leave anymore

*Loved the song the moment i first heard it ^_^ *
